Bass
Bass is a small rural town 113 kilometres south-east of Melbourne via the Gippsland and Bass Highways, in the Bass Coast Shire of Gippsland, Victoria.
The Bass Coast Landcare Network (BCLN) office is positioned in Bass and was formed in 2003 as an affiliation of the Landcare Groups, enabling them to better position themselves for investment from government, local, state and federal and corporate programs. Sixty percent of the 1,400 rural properties in the Network area are involved in and supported by the BCLN.
The town in conjunction with neighbouring township Kilcunda has a netball and football team competing in the West Gippsland Football Netball League.
Bass is also home to the George Bass Hotel. Friendly atmosphere, good value and delicious meals. A place for the whole family.
