How to choose the right Real Estate Agent

How to choose the right Real Estate Agent

Communication and connection are everything. Your home is your largest asset, most likely, and with so much more to it than just the materials it is made from, it is a treasured part of your life. We understand that, as we've sold our homes before too.

Here are a few things to consider when selecting an agent.

Look at several agents to get an insight into how they work.

The agent you choose is going to represent you and your property. It is essential that the agent you choose knows the area you're selling in, knows the other properties for sale, and that have sold recently. They should know about schools, transport, distance from townships, and the sorts of buyers looking for homes in the area.

You need to be very honest with an agent during the selling process and hence you need to make sure you are comfortable with the agent and can have open communication.

Does the agent represent good value for money? Are their costs and commission reasonable?

Were they on time to the appraisal and other appointments?

What do you think of the marketing and advertising for the properties the agent has listed?

Look at the agent's results, making sure you look at the properties the agent has sold recently. Check out their latest results or ask, for example, sale prices and time on market.

Ultimately the agent is working for you, the homeowner. It is our duty to get the best result for you.
